Psycho Scientists Are Going To Release Herpes Virus Into Eco System

The Australian Government is about to spend 15 million dollars to "eradicate" carp fish with a herpes virus. Carp is considered a pest because it is threatening other species of fish by competing for food and resources.

I think this is a dangerous strategy that will have unintended consequences.

How do we know if that herpes virus will not mutate and effect other fish?

How do we know that this "species specific virus" will not cross mutate to effect humans?

How will they deal with all of the dead fish floating in the water and the toxicity that they will release into the rest of the eco system?

If they have an over abundance of carp fish, why don't they trade them with other countries, or use them to feed people in poor countries?

I predict this becoming a nightmare situation.
