Besides being a great source of friendly bacteria, Sauerkraut simultaneously provides

Having Healthy Cholesterol Levels Reduces the Effects of Medications


A New Study published in The Journal Of Pharmaceutical Sciences showed that having healthy cholesterol levels reduced the bodies ability to utilize medications.

The reason this happens is because cholesterol plays a critical role in detoxifying poisons from the body. Guess what? Medications are poison !!

One of the ways cholesterol detoxifies poisons from the body is through Bile. Bile is made from cholesterol and it's role is to emulsify fats (works like liquid soap).

Toxins and poisons accumulate in fat, so bile detoxifies poisons by helping convert fat soluble material into water soluble material so that it is easily excreted by the body through urine and sweat.

Without cholesterol, you can not make Bile !!

Besides being part of bile, it is also a powerful antioxidant and important player in the immune system. It floats around the body along with valuable fatty nutrients like Vitamin A, D, E, and K
in a bubble called a lipoprotein (mistakenly called Good & Bad Cholesterol)

So are they going to start lowering people's cholesterol levels with a toxic statin drug (even if they have healthy Cholesterol  levels?) before they drug them further?  This is something I would expect from an ignorant medical system.

Potato consumption associated with Gestational Diabetes


In a new study published in The British Medical Journal consuming 2-4 cups of potatoes per week before pregnancy increased a woman's chances of getting Gestational Diabetes by 27%, while eating 5 or more cups per week increased it by 50%

Now this study didn't take into account whether the potatoes consumed were french fries, baked potatoes, or mashed potatoes, regardless of the form caution should be used.

It is better to eat green leafy vegetables, cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, kale, cauliflower), peppers, carrots, and cucumber which are considered complex carbohydrates rather than starchy vegetables like potatoes, rice, and pasta which can spike your insulin substantially.

If you are going to eat potatoes, make sure you eat them with lots of butter or a good fat like avocado which will help slow down the blood sugar spike a little bit :)

Autoimmune diseases have same cause


In a study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, researchers found that those with Psoriasis are 50% likely to have another autoimmune disease, and almost twice as likely
to have 2 or more autoimmune diseases compared to those without psoriasis.

These results do not surprise me but further give support to the system of healing that I practice and teach my clients.

Autoimmune diseases have one thing in common. The body's immune system attacks itself.
It doesn't matter where the autoimmune disease shows up. If it is in the joints it is called Rheumatoid arthritis, in the skin psoriasis or vitiligo, in the connective tissue it is called Lupus, in the thyroid maybe grave's or hashimoto's disease, in the nervous system it might be called ALS or MS.

The important thing to understand is that when you have an autoimmune disease the body's immune system is attacking it's own cells because they look like an invading enemy.

When you have an autoimmune disease, your primary job is to figure out what is the enemy.

The 2 prime suspects are food or a component in a vaccine or other injectable drug (both legal or illegal) Why do I say this?

There are only 3 possible ways something can get into the body. The nose, skin, or mouth.

We introduce many foods throughout the day into our body through our mouths. We might introduce
a virus, protein, or toxin through our skin when we inject something into our skin.

When a protein get into the blood intact or partially digested, our immune systems can freak out
and start attacking that protein, while simultaneously attacking any cell, tissue, or organ that looks similar to that protein.

The way you can stop your immune system from attacking itself is to identify what is triggering it, and stop ingesting or injecting it into your body.

The quickest way to prove to your self that a food maybe causing your autoimmune reaction is to fast. If you don't introduce the enemy, your immune system wont have anything to attack.
Researcher's found that fasting showed improved Multiple sclerosis symptoms.

Heartburn Drugs Associated With Higher Risk For Chronic Kidney Disease


The highly prescribed class of heartburn medications called proton pump inhibitors (common name brands: Nexium, Prilosec, Prevacid) are making headlines again.

New research is showing that they can significantly increase your risk for chronic kidney disease.

This is very troubling news, especially when there are much safer solutions and strategies than these dangerous medications.

Your Doctor Might Give You Dementia

High Cholesterol reduces your risk for dementia according to a study published in the Journal of American Academy of Neurology !!

The researchers concluded "High cholesterol in late life was associated with decreased dementia risk"

Take away message: 

Cholesterol Lowering Medication can steal your memory and cause dementia.

Eat lots of cholesterol containing foods !!!!

Yes eat lots of Butter and eggs !! (just make sure that they are organic :)

Anti-Aging Drug Approved For Human Trials


The FDA approved human trials to see if the diabetes drug metformin can increase the life span of humans.

Metformin was able to increase the life span in round worms and mice. The worms aged slower and they did not develop wrinkles. The mice increased their life span by an average of 8 years.

Sounds remarkable right?

The problem that I have with these kind of studies and headlines is that they are meant to
sell drugs. The pharmaceutical industry and the FDA want us to believe that pharmaceutical drugs are the only way we can become healthy.

Drugs can not make us healthy because by definition they are poisons.

Pharmaco literally means poison in Greek !!

The longer you remain on a Pharmaceutical Drug the more likely you are to have nutritional deficiencies, health issues, and a decreased life span.

The diabetes drug Metformin works by poisoning the liver so that it reduces the amount of glucose that is produced and released by it. It also poisons the small intestine so that it can reduces the amount of glucose that can be up-taken by it.

Looking at the side effects of Metformin would give you an idea about how toxic this medication is.

Some side effects: Diarrhea (53% !!) , stomach discomfort, fast or shallow breathing, fevers, chills, lower back or side pain, muscle pain, cramps, painful urination, difficult urination, sleepiness. behavior change similar to being drunk, loss of strength, anxiety, slurred speech.

I bet if a long term study was conducted you would see increased health problems and a decreased life span with the drug.

I have a better idea how you might be able to increase your life span and it does not require a pharmaceutical drug.

EAT LESS SUGAR & REFINED CARBOHYDRATES !!

The reason researchers saw an increased life span with metformin is because it controls blood sugar and minimizes the amount of insulin needed by the body. YOU DON'T NEED A DRUG TO DO THIS!! You can do it yourself by eating less sugar & refined carbohydrates.

Insulin is a growth hormone. It is an aging hormone, so it would make sense
that by eating less sugar and refined carbs your body would release less insulin which would have an anti-aging effect on the body (not to mention the cardiovascular, brain, renal, and liver benefits)

In addition to controlling your intake of insulin spiking foods (sugar/refined carbs) using nutrients that help the body process sugar is helpful. B vitamins, chromium, magnesium, and zinc are all very helpful.

Caloric restriction and intermittent fasting are other strategies that I would recommend looking into.

Finally get lots of sleep & rest !!

Sugar fuels cancer cells

A new study published in the Journal Cancer Research reinforces past research that sugar increases the risk of cancer. In this study fructose was the sugar specifically identified to cause lung metastasis and breast tumors.

Here is my take on sugar and cancer.

Cancer cells are cells that have been deprived of oxygen and nutrients for a long time and thus can not produce energy or detoxify themselves. This results in cells that are sitting in a toxic cesspool.

These factors make cancer cells steal and scavenge all the sugar and nutrients that they can get from the body.

Sugar is fast burning fuel. It has the ability to make cells grow at a fast rate. Cancer cells are cells that are growing out of control and a high sugar diet is one of the factors that influences their growth.

I recommend limiting your intake of refined carbohydrates (rice, potatoes, pasta, grains, bread), and staying close to zero tolerance for table sugar, fruit juices, sodas, and processed foods.

I also recommend limiting your fruit intake to 2 servings of fruits per day, while increasing your vegetable intake substantially.
